April 26, 2016

The seventh edition of Swatch Rocket Air is on the cards this weekend and this year’s contest is themed “Welcome to the Jungle”. The ice rink in Thun will been transformed into a rainforest from April 29th to April 30th, ready to test some of the best riders of the FMB World Tour. The course of the only Swiss FMB Gold Event has been changed up and now incorporates a huge flat drop in the form of an eye catching Maya tower. It will be exciting to see which FMB athlete will conquer the terrain to crown himself king of the jungle in Thun.

Now, the rider lineup has been confirmed and the wait for the first FMB Gold event of the season is nearly over. Apart from defending champions, Thomas Genon and FMB Diamond Series leader Nicholi Rogatkin a new name with a big ring to it, will also be testing the turf. The 26-year-old Canadian, Drew Bezanson is really looking forward to his first FMB World Tour event: “The course looks fantastic, I am really looking forward to riding it.” Until now, the Canadian has been known for his sublime BMX skills, while winning some of the most prestigious BMX contests around the globe. For the first time in the competitive world, Bezanson will be trading his BMX for a mountain bike, making his debut on the FMB World Tour at Swatch Rocket Air.
