Red Bull Rookie of the Year Award

The Red Bull Rookie of the Year Award is back for the 2023 FMB World Tour season, once again presenting male and female riders with the opportunity to make their mark on the freeride scene. With past winners having gone on to compete at the highest level of Slopestyle competition and bring the sport to new heights, the coveted title represents the future of freeride mountain biking. 

Awarded to the #1 ranked Male & #1 ranked Female Rookie Athlete based on the year end 2023 Red Bull Rookie Rankings, the award is to offer opportunities for progression to top up-and-coming riders.  

The 2023 Red Bull Male Rookie of the Year will receive: 

  • Wildcard entry to the first Crankworx Slopestyle event in 2024 with flights and accommodation included; 
  • Red Bull Rookie of the Year Trophy; 
  • 2024 FMB World Tour License; 
  • and more. 

The 2023 Red Bull Female Rookie of the Year will receive: 

  • Up to 2,500 € provided as travel support to a FMB sanctioned women’s event in 2024; 
  • Red Bull Rookie of the Year Trophy; 
  • 2024 FMB World Tour License; 
  • and more. 

The 2023 Male and Female Red Bull Rookie of the Year titles will be awarded following the last FMB sanctioned Gold, Silver, or Bronze event of the 2023 season. Think you’ve got what it takes to be victorious this season? Read the full list of rules and regulations*.
