The Birell BikeFest is in the Books

September 2, 2021

The 2021 Birell BikeFest, a FMB Silver level event, celebrated 10 years of Slopestyle action in scenic Slovakia, this past weekend. The event is a unique biking experience that brings mountain biking to a festival atmosphere, where crazy races, flips, and tricks are put on display for the many spectators.

The Slopestyle course itself hosts eight trickable features, including a cannon log and multiple dirt jumps, that riders used to showcase their many skills and push mountain biking to its extremes. Just take a look at all that went down last weekend…

It was thrilling to see the abundance of talent amongst so many young European athletes, with a passion for the sport of mountain biking that you could feel through their riding. From Bernd Winkler of Austria to Dominik Erd of Germany to Vincent Mattes of Switzerland, riders brought their all to this event, making for a very close competition.
