To Recap: 'The Road to X Games' is a contest for amateurs to win a spot at the Red Bull Phenom competition during X Games!  The contest is open to skateboarders, bmx'ers and MTB Slopestyle riders.

While Skateboarding and BMX are already well-established disciplines within X Games, the Red Bull Phenom slopestyle riders will join the world's best athletes for the debut of mountain bike slopestyle at the FMB World Tour Diamond event, X Games Munich in June.

Red Bull Phenom finalists will ride the same course as the pro athletes, on the day of the finals and the winner will be awarded with their own Red Bull Media House produced video edit.

There were 6 six spots up for grabs for MTB Slopestyle entrants: Contenders were selected based on online video applications and the FMB World Tour 52 Week Seeding List.

Over 40 riders from around the world submitted videos of themselves shredding their best line. The videos were then judged by freeride legend Richie Schley, based on trick difficulty, amplitude, style and flow and overall execution. You can watch all the video applications on redbullphenom.com .

Judging the video applications was not an easy task for Richie as many of the applicants showed great skill and promise -- But the final cut has now been made. In no particular order, here are the riders going to X Games Munich based on their video applications!

The other riders were selected from the FMB World Tour 52 Weeks Seeding List. The deadline for the seeding list applications was after Red Bull Berg Line in Winterberg (GER) on May 20th. The criteria was simple: The top riders aged 15-19 who had not yet competed in an FMB World Tour Diamond event, made the cut. This means that the final contenders competing at Red Bull Phenom on June 30th are:

Anton Thelander: Anton is young rider from Sweden who has shown great skill at FMB World Tour events. He recently competed at the FMB World Tour Gold event, Red Bull Berg Line and finished third - his greatest achievement yet! As it stands, Anton is ranked 7th in the FMB World Tour overall ranking.

Louis Reboul: Currently ranked 15th in the FMB World Tour overall ranking, Louis is a talented French rider who shows great determination and at several FMB World Tour events has challenged the world's best riders.

With such a strong selection of Red Bull Phenom riders, the contest is geared up to be an awesome event. The purpose of Red Bull Phenom is to discover the star of tomorrow and give young talents the chance to shine on a global platform. If you can make it to X Games Munich on June 30th, then definitely do not miss this amazing event! Stay tuned on fmbworldtour.com for more information about the Red Bull Phenom contest.

A big well done to all the contest applicants, it's awesome to see so much young talent from all corners of the world!

Also, massive congratulations to all the riders now on the road to X Games Munich. We look forward to seeing you there!
