Last weekend was the second FMB World Tour Silver event in North America during the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado. The North American riders came out in their masses to ride the course and win some valuable points for the overall ranking. The course featured some unique obstacles including an open loop which Eric Johnson was able to master.
FMB World Tour pro rider Anthony Messere turned up for the competition and went home with a 5th place result. Anthony's Morpheus team mate and long standing FMB World Tour rider, Mitch Chubey came in 4th, just shy of a podium position. It was Josh Hult who took the last spot on the podium coming in third.
Mike Montgomery had a good start to his season winning the first Silver event, Ranchstyle and was awarded with the wildcard for Red Bull Berg Line on May 20th. Mike had a solid run at GoPro Mountain Games, finishing in second place.
But at the end of the day it was Brayden Barrett-Hay who impressed the judges the most and won the competition. This is a good result for the young rider and puts him in a good position for the rest of the season and future FMB World Tour events, scheduled for later in the season. The next North American event will be Wam Bam Dirt Jam in Canada (Bronze) on July 20th and the Colorado Freeride Festival (Gold) on July 27th.
