It was meant to be the first Gold event of the 2013 season but unfortunately due to strong winds, half of the course had to be closed and consequently the event was changed to a SIlver level competition. The strong winds made it very hard for the riders to lay down their biggest tricks and the atmosphere was tense as everybody held their breathe during the runs. However the weather conditions didn't seem to bother Sam Pilgrim who went on to win the event. Nailing super technical tricks like 720 spins, a decade and a flip no hander, his run was unbeatable.
Brett Rheeder was Sam's closet rival, once again Brett showed that going opposite for him is not a problem. On his final run Brett laid down a clean flip whip and then followed it with a opposite flip whip on the last kicker. His versatile style of riding landed him a second place finish.
Thomas Genon had high hopes of standing on the podium and after two successful runs he did just that, finishing in third. Thomas showed that he was not going to let the wind stand in the way of his championship battle.
Szymon Godziek managed to secure a strong 4th place - his strongest result so far in the FMB World Tour 2013 season.
