The FMB World Tour moved into Quebec last week for the City8 competition, an official Silver event on the FMB World Tour 2013 event calendar.
Martin Soderstrom came out strongest in this urban freeride event. A stylish run down the urban course put him on top of the podium. This is Martin's sixth time on the podium this season. Martin is now heading to Crankworx Whistler for the Diamond event Red Bull Joyride.
Sam Reynolds has had a bit of a rocky season - but he is certainly coming back strong after his injury in 2012. Sam already stood on the podium earlier this year at 26TRIX in Leogang and recently won the UK Bronze event, Jack Gear Invitational. Now he can add a solid 2nd place to his results. Sam is a great showman with true British humor - so he took it upon himself to add a bit more entertainment by riding his final run in only his underwear! What a joker!
Cam Zink is a freeride legend and with his help the organizers of CITY8 managed to design a flowy and technical course with all the features the riders like to hit. Bringing Cam's freeride experience into the urban scene was a great opportunity to show the public what this sport is all about. Apart from helping with the course, Cam also competed and came in third. Nice job Cam!
The people of Quebec welcomed the FMB World Tour with great enthusiasm and we look forward to seeing CITY8 return next year for another edition.
